Starbridge is seeking a Residential Assistant Manager to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supervised IRA while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the residence. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact by promoting person-centered supports, mentoring staff, and helping individuals achieve greater independence.
What You'll Do
- Support individuals in achieving their goals by implementing Life Plans, Habilitation Plans, and Staff Action Plans.
- Provide person-centered supports, including personal care, daily living skills, medication administration, and community participation.
- Assist the Residential Manager with the daily operations of the residence.
- Mentor and support Direct Support Professionals while helping oversee staff schedules and daily responsibilities.
- Complete documentation, billing, incident reporting, and other required records accurately and on time.
- Ensure the residence, vehicles, and equipment remain safe, clean, and well maintained.
- Maintain compliance with OPWDD regulations and Starbridge policies and procedures.
- Serve in a leadership role during the Residential Manager's absence, including participating in the on-call rotation.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience working in the OPWDD service field preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain AMAP Certification.
