Why Starbridge

At Starbridge, we partner with people with disabilities, their families, and the people who support them to build communities where everyone belongs. We are For the Hope and the How: the hope that life can change for the better, and the know-how to make it happen.
As a Registered Nurse at Starbridge, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care that supports the health, safety, and well-being of people with disabilities. You’ll work closely with individuals, families, caregivers, and a collaborative team to assess health needs, coordinate care, provide education, and promote independence. Your expertise will help ensure people receive high-quality care while being treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.

What You'll Do
  •  Provide clinical oversight and advocacy for people living in our residential programs
  • Assess medical needs and build nursing service plans that reflect what each person wants for their own life
  • Coordinate care with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Train and certify residential staff on medications and health procedures
  • Keep clinical documentation current and audit ready

What You'll Bring
  • A current New York State Registered Nurse license
  • One year of nursing experience after licensure, or a BSN
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the judgment to work independently across multiple homes
  • Comfort teaching and coaching residential staff on medications and health procedures
  • A valid New York State driver’s license and an insured, registered vehicle
  • Experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or in an OPWDD funded program, is welcome and not required
Or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Generous paid time off that grows with your years of service.
  • Employer-paid life insurance worth two times your salary.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage, with Starbridge helping cover the cost.
  • A retirement plan you can start right away, with a 4% Starbridge match after one year.
  • Opportunities to lead meaningful initiatives that strengthen families and communities across New York State.
  • A collaborative leadership team committed to innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
